2. User Conduct & Fair Play

CodeType is a competitive skill-based platform. We value integrity above all else. To ensure a fair environment for all developers on our leaderboards, you agree to the following:

• Strict Anti-Cheating Policy: The use of bots, automated scripts, macros, "auto-typers", or any software designed to artificially inflate your typing speed is strictly prohibited.
• Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Respectful Community: We do not tolerate harassment, hate speech, or offensive usernames. CodeType is a professional environment for developers to improve their craft.

3. Leaderboards and Disqualification

We employ automated and manual systems to detect fraudulent scores. We reserve the absolute right to:

• Remove any score from the leaderboard that we suspect is illegitimate, without providing detailed evidence (to protect our detection methods).
• Reset the statistics of any account found to be manipulating the system.
• Permanently ban users who repeatedly violate our Fair Play policies.

4. Intellectual Property

All original content, design code, and assets on CodeType are the intellectual property of their creators. The code snippets provided for typing practice are processed from open-source repositories and retain their original licenses (typically MIT, Apache 2.0, or similar). You may not scrape, copy, or redistribute our platform code without explicit permission.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The CodeType service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the reliability, stability, or availability of the service. We are not liable for any data loss, including the loss of match history or profile statistics, resulting from server outages or technical failures.
